Car Butler – “Your Car’s Concierge” is an incredible FREE all-in-one app which has powerful and easy to use features. I installed Car Butler on my iPhone 4 and took it out for a spin.
Some of the Key Features that Car Butler has are:
- Auto Accident Report – This nifty feature allows you start an accident report and input information such as accident time and location, accident description, vehicles involved, damage to vehicle and witness and police info. The accident report allows for camera usage, so taking pictures of the accident and inputting them directly into your report is not a problem. Accident report also adds a “Call 911″ feature, which in my opinion, isn’t really necessary since you probably would not be opening this app if their were an apparent need to call 911.
- Services – I tried this feature out quite a bit. With some good results, Services allows the user to look up nearby gas stations, mechanics, body-shops and car washes.
- Traffic – If you have a daily commute, having this option built in is great, i can see live traffic stats right from my iPhone. There are several stand-alone Apps out there that do this well, but hey, if i can have it built into a good quality bundle of services in one App, i’ll take it.
- Commute – It is always nice to be able to calculate commute times to the city, never sure how accurate these are in any App, but again, a nice add-in to a nicely made App. The commute function also shows “Suggested Routes.”
- Weather - Getting the current weather is always exciting. While my built in Weather App does just fine, the guys over at Fancy Auto, Inc did a good job by showing the weather when clicking on the app. I must say, if i would have had to go to a specific tab inside of the app to access weather, i would have not used it. Good move guys!!
- And Finally, you can build a profile
This nifty feature allows you to input critical information such as your license plate number, contact info, insurance info and vehicle info for use in case you were to be in an accident. Auto Accident Report will allow the camera to be used to take pictures of important documentation and information as well.
All-in-all, i like this app. Living in an urban environment will surely get some usage time out of this clean-cut app. Some new key features are soon set to launch on this already well put together app, including:
- Ability to mark and locate where you left your parked car
- Refresh services results when you move map position to easily find services in other areas
- 5-day weather forecast information
