    Canon Pixma printer driver for Mountain Lion 10.8.4

    Just went for the latest 10.8.4 release upgrade for Mountain Lion in my Mac and now the Canon Pixma printer which was working earlier is not working, probably it might be a drivers issues as well but how to find the latest 10.8.4 supported drivers? Can someone guide me in this?

    Dear Friend...

    It is definitely the drivers issue but before going further, it is also an issue or upgradation of your Mac OS due to which the previously installed drivers has been formatted.

    So, first you try to install those drivers, which you installed earlier in your MacBook device because it is not necessary that after upgradation of the OS, you also required to install the updated software's or drivers.
    You have only update the OS not changed the OS, so there is no issue arise if you install those previous drivers..

    If you feel that you will or you are facing any issue to do this, then either ask from the canon or wait till, it releases its updated and upgraded drivers for Snow Leopard.

    ++++++++++++Try this process for this issue++++++++

    ********First off all Make sure that your printer connected with system correctly.

    ********Check Printer driver software compatibility with mac system.

    ********Download Printer driver software ..

    ********Now open Device Manager.

    ********Right click on Printer and than click on Update Driver Software.

    ********Update box will asks you the required driver file.

    ********Add downloaded driver software file through Browse.

    ********After following few steps Printer driver software will install.

    ********After doing so your problem will resolve.

    Instruction to follow:-

    1. On the Mac Book Pro, open Finder and navigate to Applications > Canon Utilities >
    Network Scanner Selector EX and open this application.

    2. Then there is the button "Scan-from-Operation-Panel Settings".
    Click this and you will see another window.

    3. Wait for the operation and see the result of solution.

    4. Otherwise you can instal the newer version form the canon site.

    Hello friend,

    I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..................................

    1.As you have updated your OS the Printer drivers may be lost.

    2.So check that they are there in your Mac or not .

    3.If they are installed in your Mac but still you have the problem.

    4.Then you go to the Info of those Printer drivers.

    5.And from get the printer drivers and then go to that website.

    6.From there you download the latest version of the Printer drivers and then install them.

    Steps to be performed -------->
    * Uninstall the current printer installed in device.
    * You need to go to the system preference first.
    * Now you need to select the add printer option.
    * Connect the printer and identify it in device.
    * Click on digonise option to see its working.
    * Trouble shoot the printer by clicking on that option if it does not work.
    * Recommendation will be shown to you.
    * Follow those suggestion and then restart the device.
    * Hope this will solve your issue.

    Remember ------------>
    * Update to the latest software in device is highly needed.
    * You need fast net connection for this update.
    * Do not download any software from any unsafe site.
    * Make sure that device is free from virus status.
    * Have the antivirus in device and update the virus definitions.
    * Also see that RAM in device is up to maximum limit.
    * You can visit the service center and can upgrade the RAM.
    * Maintain space in the device memory every time.
    * Use memory cleaner app to clean the memory of the device.
    * Never download any application from non market.
    * This is because it bring the risk of the virus and damage the software.
    * Also have the backup of the important files.

    Canon Pixma printer driver for Mountain Lion 10.8.4:

    • Firstly ensure that the printer cable is working fine and is properly connected to the system
    • Then find out which version of Canon Pixma printer driver is compatible with your Mac
    • After this download and that printer driver
    • Then go to "Device Manager"
    • Here you will find the "Printer" icon, right-click on it
    • Then from the dropdown options choose the option "Update Driver Software"
    • After this a dialog box will promt you to select the driver file
    • Choose the printer driver that you downloaded and click OK
    • Now the installation process will begin
    • Follow the instructions during the installation process
    • Restart your system after installation completes
    • Your problem will be solved
