    Changing the access permission for directory tree in Mac

    I know that we can use the unix command like chmod to do that but thatís not how done in Mac. So what steps is followed for doing the same in the mac? Can someone please provide me the information for it? Thanks.

    Yes, you are right using chmod looks more like unix and it’s not the way it’s done in Mac. So now to change the access permission for a particular directory along with the subdirectories in Mac follow the steps given below,

    STEP 1: Select the folder -> Press CMD + I

    STEP 2: Now unlock the lock -> Change the permission which you want to -> Select the action button.

    STEP 3: Once that is done -> Select Apply to the the items which is shown.

    STEP 4: You can check all the folders and subfolders which would have probably been changed with the permission that you have set from Mac perspective.

    =) First of all select the folder.

    =) Then press the CMD with I letter.

    =) Now unlock the lock and then you have to change the permissions that you want to change.

    =) Then press the action option button.

    =) Now again check the folder or sub-folder option under it.
