Error: "Java is Unavailable" on MacBook Leopard 10.5.8

I have black macbook with leopard 10.5.8. When I try to browse or when i try to login to VPN website there will be an error message like "Java is unavailable". By seeing this I have installed Java (latest version) on my machine, and enabled on the browser. But there is no change in the error message, I can see the java on installed programs but I cannot get rid of this message. Suggest me what can be done. Thank you.

    Hello dear..............
Uninstall the Java and search for a version that is compatible with your's Macbook.
Now also update your browser....so that you can have good features...
Now intall the java app and then restart the pc..
Then enable the java in your browser.....

    Hope you may understand..
