Firefox browser not opening in Mac due to error "Firefox can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer"

I have a Mac which runs with the Lion OS and recently when I tried to open the Firefox browser it gave me the error message like this "Firefox can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer". What does it mean? Why this error shows up when I try to run the Firefox browser in my Mac? Please help.

First thing which you need to make sure is whether the Firefox browser which you downloaded is from the official site or somewhere else? If you have downloaded elsewhere other than the official site then you need to re download it properly and try to install.

CLICK HERE!! to get the latest Firefox browser for your Mac and just install according to the onscreen information which is given. The main reason you are getting the error is because of the reason that you have downloaded it from non official websites.

There is a workaround for this issue which will also allow you to install from the setup which you were downloaded and currently giving the error. All you need to do is to open the System Preferences window -> Security -> General and just select the Set downloads option to “Anywhere”. This should fix the error which you are getting right now when you are trying to install the Firefox browser.

    - The error which you are getting means that the Firefox browser that you have installed is not original product of Mozilla.

    - So you have to remove this program from your pc.

    - Then you need to visit the official website of mozilla firefox to download the suiatable and original version of firefox browser in your pc.

    - Visit this site: www.mozilla.org to download and install official version.

    - Follow right instructions and choose the compable version for your pc and download it.

    - Now install the browser.

    - Now theproblem will not arise in your browser again.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steps to follow: :: Move to the "system preference menu" in to Mac. :: Once the system preference menu is open then you have to select the “Security" option. :: Then click "General” option. :: Now under it, choose the "Set downloads" option. :: Then here you can set to “Anywhere” the option and then restart the Mac. :: After restarting the Mac you need to again launch the Mozilla browser. :: This will fix the error that you got. :: If you got same error again then try to uninstall the current Mozilla browser. :: And then install the latest version OK. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hi...............,

try downloading this browser from app store.
Simply open the apple store and tap the app.
Once app is installed you can open it any time.

Try to have the Google chrome app.
This app has very less errors and run smoothly.
This app is also easy to install.

    Thanks
