    Font book not starting up in Macbook Pro

    I have no idea what went wrong with the Font Book application in my Macbook Pro, it just doesn’t work at all when trying to install the fonts. Is there anyway I can fix this issue? I have Lion OS running in my Macbook Pro and just wanted a solution for this problem?

    Now the issue might be the app might be corrupted or the Lion OS which is running in your Mac itself as the problem, now few things which you can check to resolve the problem is as follows,

    STEP 1: Open the Finder window in your Mac.

    STEP 2: Now press the option key and select Go -> Library.

    STEP 3: Search for the file com.apple.FontBook.plist and delete it completely.

    STEP 4: Restart your Mac.

    By doing this it will setup the application from scratch and in most of the time it will start working. If it’s not possible then boot into the safe mode and try deleting it or try to create a new Mac user account and use the Font Book which works most of the time if the problem is related with the account. If none of the above helped then consider reinstalling your Mac OS to fix this.

    Follow the below steps:

    :: Open the Finder window from it.

    :: Now here you open the "option".

    :: And then press Go.

    :: Then select the Library labelled.

    :: Now under it locate the com.apple.Font Book.p list and remove it.

    ::Then allow to restart the Mac.

    :: This will fix the issue OK.
