    How to pause all the notification which I get in the Mac Mountain Lion OS?

    I donít like getting the notifications of the various applications in my Mac Mountain Lion, is there any way to pause all the notifications instead getting popped out from the taskbar? Can you tell me the steps to follow to disable the notification in Mac completely?

    You can enable/disable this function by simply Option-clicking on the Notification Center icon in the Menu Bar. With Notification Center showing, if you scroll to reveal the top then youíll discover a preference to not show notifications...

    Hi,

    its very easy to disable all the notification. Just follow these steps :-

    Hit Command+shift+G and then enter the path to system/library/Coreservices/

    Now you will find "Notification Center.app'' which you have to convert to or rename to "Notification Center-disabled.app"

    Now validate this change and then after you have launch a terminal, Found in /Applications/utilities

    Here are some steps 1 go to the main menu2 go to the notification centre3 click on the option disable notification after clicking your notification will be diabled4 and infuture if you agin want notification than click on opyion enable notification than your notification will be enabled

    Hello friend,


    I have the solution for your problem just do as i say......

    You cannot pause the notifications in your computer but you can disable the notifications to do so as i say.....

    1.Firstly click 'Command+Shift+G' .

    2.And then press enter.

    3.Now you go to system/library/coreservices/.

    4.Then a new window of 'Notification center.app' will open.

    5.Now you have to rename it as 'Notification center-disabled app'.

    that's it by doing as i said you can disable your notifications in mac mountain lion OS.

    * You get annoyed when you get the notifications of various applications in your Mac Mountain lion OS

    * Ya, ofcourse it is possible to pause all the notifications you get...

    * Just follow the steps below to do so....!

    * The easy way is Hold the Alt Key and click notification center icon on the top right corner of the screen...

    * It should become grey...

    * This indicates that notication center is turned off....!

    * Alternatively , while viewing a notification you can also scroll up to see a switch which will allow you pause notification for the rest of the hours. This is like a "do not disturb" setting....!

    * And you are done....! You have now paused your notifications in mac....!!!

    In order to pause the notification center in mac follow these procedures......


    ===>open the terminal and enter the following command:

    launchct1 unload -w
    /system/libirary/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist


    =======>next type the following command to kill the notification center....

    killall NotificationCenter

    ========>finally quit out the terminal and return to the folder..

    This command unloads the notification center from the current user without the administrator rights...

    TO REENABLE THE NOTIFICATION CENTER....

    =====>launch the terminal and enter the similar command as above but only change the filelds unload to load...

    =======>hit command+shift+g and go to the systems/libirary/coreservices/then find the notification center and double click it and then launch it..

    You can definitely PAUSE all the notification by following the Below steps :::

    <<>> You can pause all the Notification center with one click ...

    <<>> Press the option key while clicking on the Notification icon in the Right end of Menu Bar

    <<>> This will pause the Display of Notifications

    <<>> To Reactivate them , you can either Option - click the same icon again

    <<>> Display notifications at the Right of the screen by clicking on the Notification center icon

    <<>> Then Toggle the show Alerts and Banners Switch from OFF to ON

    <<>> Or Just wait until tomorrow , when they will go back on AUTOMATICALLY ...

    @ first please go to your menu bar /

    @ here please click on the notification icon appeared on the screen

    @ here please go to settings option

    @ now disabled notification settings if these are enabled

    @ in the last step press the apply key hence the process is over !

    To pause all the notifications which you get in the Mac Mountain Lion OS

    then follow the steps recommended below :

    Navigate to the Notification center first .

    and click on Disable Notification settings

    the notification center will be available at the Bottom screen.


    and once you click on disable notification center .

    then all the notifications will be disabled .

    you can also select the particular notifications to disable or all.

    The solution of your answer is already given in your query.
    You just go to your left bottom right hand side task bar, go to your Gmail Notification center,
    There, the gmail notification is enable over there, just disable that option.

    Check your Mac now, there is no further notification will pop-up in your notification center.

    Yes you can pause all the notification that you are getting in your mountain lion and there are so many ways to do it........
    First you can go to the setting- then go to the notification center - then select the disable option.
    Or you can open the home page and then select the system preferences and then after go to the notification option and click on it.....
    In both of the process you will get rid of the unwanted notifications............

    Steps to solve this problem:

    • Press the key combination "Command+Shift+G" and enter
    • Go to system --> library --> core services
    • Then"Notification center.app" window will open
    • Rename it as "Notification center-disabled.app"
    • Your problem should be solved

    Fix for this problem:

    • Press "Command+shift+G"

    In the moutain lion Mac , there is notification configuration in which you can set the various notification for your Mac device
    Notification option such as Banner , Badges , Alerts , Mail , Message , Calendar , Game center , Reminder , Facetime etc.
    you can set notification as per your choice.
    you can also turn off the notification temporarily whenever you want.

    Pause all notification in Mac moutain lion

    --> Go to Apple menu & select "system preference"
    --> now select "Notification".now you will see all the notification
    --> select the notification for which you want to do setting.
    --> select one by one notification & make it turn off

    By turn off notification , now notification will not come to your Mac device.
    Notificaiton will again activate from next day.
    if you select manually setting , then you can reactivate the notification again whenever you want.

    Turn on the mac mountain lion os.After turn on refresh the mac once and open the apple menu.After opening the menu here you will see the different options.Among this find and tap the system preferences option.In system preferences again you will see the more options.Here find and tap the notifications option.After tapping the notifications here you will see the all applications which providing the notifications.Just above this notifications you will see the different options.Among this find and tap the stop all notifications.After tapping this your all notifications will stop at a time.Finally save the settings after done all the process.

    Changing the notification setting in your device is quite similar to other OS.
    There is a notification center in your Mac Lion OS. You get this option at your either right hand side bottom corner or at the center bottom of the screen.



    Now you need to click on the notification center and change or disable the notification settings.
    If you want to disable notification related to Mac OS update, then you can easily do this from there.
    Through this, you will not get any notification further.
