iMac G5 unable to shut down

My iMac G5 is not shutting down. Recently, it had got slipped from my hands. After turning it on, it was working fine but turning off has become a hassle. What should I do to fix this problem?

---->>Dude,if your system is not shutdown that means some process undergoes,
so you need to wait until the background service is not terminate or over.

---->> If the service is not over after some time then press the power switch of
    your Mac and shutdown forcefully.

:: Now again start the mac and reset the NV RAM/P RAM .

:: This will fix the minor problem.
