Mac OS X Snow Leopard starts with a Grey screen

My mac machine starts with a Grey screen instead of getting the home screen. Am unable to figure out the problem here, but I need to wait for a very long in order to get my home screen from this grey screen. Please provide a solution for this problem as soon as possible.

    Use the safe mode:-

You need to reboot the computer into safe mode so holding the Shift key down.
This will repairs and enters a more stable environment that is free of third party apps at boot
kernel extension and other files, disabling of certain hardware features.

Reboot again normally without Shift key to get out of Safe Mode ans see the grey screen goes
    or not.

    Hi,

See,first of all if you are not getting the icons on the Grey Screen, then there is some problem in the OS.
It happens with the Operating Systems that they corrupt and then start functioning abruptly.
This may happen due to corruption of the system files.
I think you installed any software in the directory which is meant for the system files and that is why you are getting these problems.
I'll suggest you to reinstall the OS on your system.
This is the best way to overcome any kind of problem.
Reinstalling the OS will repair all the damaged files and your system will work properly after that!

Hope you'll take my suggestion into consideration!

    Bye!

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say.............................

1.There are many reasons for this problem.

2.Firstly check that you have all the requirements to use the OS which you are using now.

3.If that is not your problem then this can be the problem of the firmware.

4.So you always try to update your firmware to stay away from this problem.

5.At last you perform Repair of your Startup Disc to solve this problem.

I hope by doing as i said you can solve your problem.

    All the best...............................
