Mac shows Wi-Fi hotspot named as "default" but my WLAN name is "R-A-01"

I have an old Apple Laptop which has Mac Operating System. It keeps returning a Wi-Fi hotspot name "default" and it store it as known network but my WLAN name is something completely different. Actually the name of my WLAN is "R-A-01". Do you know what is generating this error? What should I do to solve this error?

    Dear Amigo...

When the Mac shows Wi-fi hotspot named as default but WLAN name is R-A-01 :

This error might occur when you have set the previous name as different than the default .

When some other programs are using this then you cannot rename it .

close all the running applications which are currently using it.

and try to rename it and set it as default .

or simply you can format or set the default connection .

    Thank you ...

    Hello dear.........

I think you had already connected with wifi before naming it.
    Now you named it.
So, the device properties are same then it will displays first connected name only.
If you want to see changes then delete the network from network list.
Now search for wifi freshly then connect it.

Then it's fine it displays 'R-A-01'
Hope This post may help you.

    Dear Friend..

It might be possible that you haven't set the Wi-Fi hotspot name in your device previously due to which it shows the different name.
So for this, you just try to change the name of your Wi-Fi in your device and if the name changed then it means that is your WLAN Wi-Fi.

If not, then again it might be possible that the Wi-Fi hotspot name is catching by your MacBook device is someone else due to which you are unable to change its name.
For fix this issue, format all your wi-fi and internet connections and setup the new process.
Hope this time this issue might be resolve.

    Thank you..

    Hi............,

Wifi hots pot can not be named in certain conditions ---->

    * If that name is used by other client.
    * If the name is not appropriate.
    * If name is too large then given limits.
    * If you put some special character .

-- Make sure that before stablishing connection you need to name it.
-- You can not name when connection is stablished and some operation are undergoing.
-- Default name can be given as you mentioned.

    Thanks
