Macbook fails to connect to Default Wireless Network

In my home I have a secured wireless network, and my macbook always forgets to connect to it and it pairs to a local unsecured network. Though I have the default network to my home network, but still it keeps on asking me username and password. What to do to make it connect to only its default network?
