Maintenance Scripts not working on Mac OS X 10.4.2

I couldn't figure out the problem here, I already set the maintenance script to run daily in the terminal, but now nothing happens when already followed to procedure to run maintenance scripts. Am not shutting down my system so that the scripts work on it, but I can't see anything done by scripts.

    Hello Friend

1)you have a facility to run all three maintenance scripts at once in Mac OS X.

2)Open Terminal, and located in the Macintosh HD>Applications>Utilities folder.

3)Now at the Terminal prompt, type the following , exactly as written:

    4)Now press Return.

5)Type your Admin password when prompted, then press Return.

Now All the 3 scripts will run in Sequence.
