    "Mountable file systems missing, unable to mount the disk images" on Mac OS X Lion

    Through Disk Utility am trying to mount the ISO images on my mac machine running on OS X Lion, but but when trying to do this am always struck with an error "Mountable file systems missing, unable to mount the disk images", what am I supposed to do now to restore the lost files.

    Suggestions ------------->
    * There is certain error in mounting process.
    * Make sure that the image has a correct extention.
    * You can edit the image name and extention .
    * Also the destination place must be correctly set in mounting.
    * Make sure that the destination place have a space in mounting.
    * System must not have any virus in it.
    * To convert DMG extension to ISO you need following command as shown below.
    hdiutil convert /path/to/image.dmg -format UDTO -o /path/to/newimage.is
    * Best format is a ISO of the disk image.
