    Network goes offline when Mac goes to sleep

    This issue I am facing right after the upgrade of Mountain Lion which I did in my Mac, whenever it goes to sleep mode the Network goes offline and doesn’t resume back at all. Why is that? What should I do for making it work? Kindly give me the information.

    This problem can happen for various reasons in Mac and to fix this issue the best thing to do is to disable the sleep options which are enabled in your Mac. Just follow the below steps given for it,

    STEP 1: Open the System preferences in your Mac by pressing the Apple icon in your Mac.

    STEP 2: Select the option Energy saver -> Change the option of Computer Sleep and Display Sleep to Never.

    STEP 3: Also uncheck the option “Put hard disks to sleep when possible” -> Apply the changed settings.

    By this you can be sure that your Network doesn’t goes offline. Now to have a permanent fix for this just go ahead and update with which is available for your Mac.

    :: First close all windows.

    :: Then move to the system preference in to Mac Book.

    :: Once the system preference is open then you have to select the “Views” option.

    :: Now under it, choose the “Energy Saver” that you want.

    :: Then here you unchecked the box in front of sleep mode.

    :: Then restart the Mac system OK.

    :: Now doing this you system never goes to sleep mode and therefore the network does not goes to offline.
