    Hello Friend

    Switch on the computer.

    After booting you will go to the start button.

    Select the programs.

    Now you can click the ms office.

    Select the Microsoft excel.

    It will be opened and to use it now.

    Yeah! I have got your problem and i have solution for it.............

    1.It will open for sure in system.

    2.But on one condition that both should have same version of the MS Office.

    3.If they differ then this problem will occur.

    4.Or the file which you are trying open may be corrupted.

    You have created an Excel work sheet in your Mac.

    Now you want to open it in normal windows PC.

    But it is not opening.

    So first check weather Microsoft Office is installed in your windows PC or not?

    If installed then which version?

    If it is older then that of installed in Mac then either install same or newer version of Microsoft office in your windows PC.

    Or you can save the file in older version support file extension.

    For this simply open the file in mac.

    Then go to file, then save as option.

    Now give new name and go to save as option.

    Select the version which is installed in your windows pc.

    Now use the newer file.

    Firstly see that it is compatible with the windows or not .


    and also Make sure that Microsoft Office is installed in the windows .

    as same version as in the Mac .

    Make sure that both have the same versions of the
    Microsoft Office installed .


    see that the file is protected or not and check the permissions if any .

    the file you are saving create a problem of opening the file because of change in the OS for this you have to save in common mode which is available to use in both OS

    This problem may be occur due to reason that mey be your file is get corrupted due to any reason while you transferring it from your mac to normal pc. It may due to your mode of tranferring. When you transfrring file give specific file name and also take care of that the pc in which you are transferring your file it must contain world excel software and its spreadsheet reader too.

    I have the solution for your problem it is:-

    The Excel files of Mac OS will definitely open in Windows computer. The
    reason for your problem may be the following reasons.

    Firstly check that the in that windows computer Microsoft Office is installed
    or not.

    If it was installed and not coming then check the versions of the Microsoft
    Office are same in the both the computers.
    For ex:-If you are having the Microsoft Office 2010 in your mac and the
    Microsoft Office 2004 or 2007 or some other version in your windows
    computer then the file will not open in such conditions.

    Well i've worked in powerpoint in my mac but when i transfered that presentation to my cllg's laptop ,allthough the ppt presentation worked but the allignment was not proper but in ur case the excel sheet does not even works ,so i think its just because of the compatiblity of mac with other pc's or due to the sharing restrions of mac os with other os due to security reasons

    first you didn't tell that what version of OFFICE you r using is it 2010? well the format of the excel file is same for both windows and mac... if you dsnt able to view the same then may be the file get corrupted... the simplest way to open such corrupted files is first try to open the same in word pad.
    secondly if the file extension is filename.xlsx and you are using office 2010 then open this file in mac(if this is opening in mac) and save the same file in excel 97-2003 workbook and then open it in windows the file will have the extension like FILENAME.xls

    Excel sheet created in Mac not usable in Windows. What is the issue?

    I have MS office for Mac and I have created the excel sheets in it and when I try to transfer the same to the normal Windows PC it just doesn't work at all. Why this is happening? What format it should be? How to make it work in both Mac and normal PCs? Can you please give me details about this in order to fix it?
