What to do if my Mac types out random characters after changing the keyboard?

Initially when I bought the Mac I was using it with a wired keyboard which was comfortable and recently I changed it to a wireless keyboard but right after changing it I am facing issues where my Mac started typing some random characters when trying to use it. What might be the issue? Is there any fix for my problem?
