    Dear Friend,
There is a possibility that your router has changed its proxy IP address which is to be set in your browser internet settings to get internet access. In the dialog box for proxy settings, select "Auto detect settings". In case it doesn't work kindly contact your router and get the proxy IP address and fit it in the manual settings dialog box.

    Thank you

    * You have Snow Leopard OS on your imac

    * Initially you were able to connect to the Internet but after switching off and on the router you cant..

    * Actually this problem might have been caused due to poor Wi-Fi connection on the device.

    * Or your router might have changed the proxy address.

    * These could be the problem you are facing

    * Inorder to fix this connect the Wi-Fi properly

    * Choose Autosettings in the proxy settings dialog box.

    * This would help you to resolve your querry....!

    ## For solve your problem you need to turn off your modem and router,

    ## And then you need to turn off airport on your iMac,

    ## After that you need to drag the macintosh HD,

    ## Now launch the library,

    ## After that preferences option,

    ## And then system configuration option,

    ## Doing this it will ask to enter password,

    ## So you need to enter password,

    ## Now power up the modem and router,

    ## And then you need to restart your iMac,

    ## And then turn ON iMac airport,

    ## That's it.

Re: Not able to connect my iMac to internet with the Wi-Fi connection

I think your net is slow.it can also occur due to wrong internet setting.so please check the internet setting in your mac and see if there is any mistake and make changes as per the condition.
One more thing which can be there is that your router might have changed the proxy settings.so try to contact that and make changes as per that.
I think your problem should be solved with this information.
    Thanks

Re: Not able to connect my iMac to internet with the Wi-Fi connection

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem it is:-

The server which you are connected may not be catching the signal
correctly. So you are not able to gain access to any web page. So
once check that router which you are connected was with the good
    health.

To check it firstly you need a another Mac or any device which have the
Wi-Fi connectivity. Once connect that net to that device and try to
open any webpage if it opens then the problem is in your Mac only.

If the problem is only with your Mac then do as i say below.

Firstly try to check the settings are correct or there is any default in them.
To know the settings of the Mac you can know them at any Apple store or
you can get them in your Mac Manual.

i hope it will help you.

    All the best...........

    hi How are you ....

When you are unable to connect my iMac to internet wih the Wifi connection :

    Firstly check your internet connection.

make sure that it has enough speed which is required.

if not then use it when the signal strength is real good.

this might occur when the authentication is failed .

and also check the settings and better restore them to default if any corrections are made.

    restart your device once.

    Thank you..

It is highly likely that the IP address of your router has been re-configured and the change has yet to be implemented in the settings of your internet browser. Go the "proxy settings" and enable Auto detect settings. This should solve the problem.

Re: Not able to connect my iMac to internet with the Wi-Fi connection

The problem can be due to:-
-Improper network settings in your system running on Mac.
    -Authentication not done properly.
    -Hardware issue.

The solution to your problem is:-
-Restart both your system and router.
-Check whether the problem is resolved or not.
-Make sure the network settings are correct,i.e,the security password and the username.
-Make sure the authentication is done properly.
-If still the problem is not resolved,go to settings.
    -Reset all settings to default.
-Update your System to the latest Mac version.
    -Make a fresh connection again.

Hope your problem will be solved.
