Is it possible to change the Output port to Input in OS X 10.8? How to do it?

I have purchased a new Macbook pro 13 having OS X 10.8. I have an Audio output port and I want to change it to input so that I can plug some of my devices to computer. Is it possible to do so? If yes then kindly provide a step by step guide to do the same. I am a newbie in Mac and OS X so please use simple words while you write your answers.

    Hi............,

    Audio output port
Connect external speakers, head phone, or digital audio equipment .
You can specify audio analog line in functionality, to support line-level microphones and audio equipment , by selecting Audio In in the Sound panel
    of System preference.

You can also use external audio output to connect with computer.
It is available at cheaper rate in market .

    Thanks

    Dear Friend...

Its better to not to change its physical setting.
All though it is possible to change its Audio Output port externally but if you think you can change it internally then its totally not possible and if you do this, you can also lost your warranty as well.

So the best option for you is to buy an external audio output to connect with computer. This you can connect you MacBook audio port which convert your input audio frequency to out via this device.

This device is available in market at very low cost around 150 to 200 at any computer accessories shop, but if you still have any confusion, then take your device to any accessories shop and tell ask for any other option.

    Hope this helps you,
    Thank you...
