Is it possible to have the iTunes unchanged after restoring my Macbook?

I need to restore my Macbook to get the default settings as I have done some major changes and itís not working properly but the thing is I donít want the iTunes settings and the music inside to be changed. Is that possible? Can I have the iTunes without touched or changed after restoring my Macbook? What steps to follow for that? Please give me details.
