Is it possible to take screenshots via the keyboard shortcuts in MAC? What to use to get the screenshot?

I want to take screenshots in my MAC as like in Windows with the help of keyboard shortcuts but I have no idea how to do it as the print screen option is not working properly. So can you tell me what should I follow for it?

It is right that the MAC wonít be supporting the print-screen option as like Windows for getting the screenshot but it is quite easy too in MAC to get the screenshot out, you just need to follow few keyboard shortcuts to attain this.

In MAC there is not only the option of getting the screenshots but still there are various different options available which will enable you to get it done in different ways. Just go through the below given steps to get the full workflow of the screenshots which can be taken from MAC.

STEP 1: First of all the keyboard shortcut which is used for taking up the screenshot in MAC is Command+Shift+3 which will take the screenshot for the entire screen.
STEP 2: Now there is one more shortcut key available which will allow you to click and drag around the area which you want as a screenshot, you can get that option by pressing the shortcut Command+Shift+4.
STEP 3: So where the screenshots will be saved? It will be under the desktop named as Picture 1.png and so on.
STEP 4: There is one more useful option available for the screenshot where you have to press the Space key after pressing the Command+Shift+4 where you can see the cursor changing to picture of a camera. This will allow to take the screenshot of particular window, icon, widget etc. All you need to do is to select the particular things with the camera.

In this way you can carry out taking screenshots in your MAC which is pretty cool when compared to Windows or any other platform where you need some external 3rd party applications to attain these type of feature. If you still have some query regarding this feature in Mac then just feel free to drop in your query here to get more details about it.

2.command-shft-4 : screenshot for area and if click space we can't tske screenshot for window

All this screenshots will be saved on desktop but by using command -control-3/4 for area or screen which will be saved in clipboard.
