Problem deleting bootcamp partition in Macbook

Upgraded my Mac from Leopard to snow Leopard few days back and now I am just trying to delete my bootcamp partition which I created before with the help of bootcamp assistant but I am not able to do it whenever I try to go to the delete partition page it gives me the message “The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows”. What should I do now to get rid of the partition if this is the problem?

You don’t have to delete the bootcamp partition via the bootcamp assistant. You can just carry out the process with the help of Disk utility application to get rid of the bootcamp partition, just follow the steps as given below

STEP 1: Open the disk utility application from your Macbook.
STEP 2: Now select the hard disk partition which is not of Mac but the other one which is the bootcamp partition.
STEP 3: Open the partition tab -> Delete the partition.
STEP 4: Just make sure if your remainining disk space is being filled up the entire drive now.

By following the above steps you can easily fix the issue to get rid of the boot camp partition from your Macbook.
