Is it safe to turn on the Assistive devices in Mac?

I wanted to know more about that in detail as I have heard that turning on assistive devices option will lead to security risk. Is that true? Can someone please tell me what are the drawbacks and use of this Assistive feature in Mac Snow leopard?.

Now the main reason mac applications as the Assistive option available is for helping the people who are physically challenged, and it is no way a problem for security or so unless you are the person who is going to the Mac.

-> You can also do the same assistive work by using the GUI Scripting option provided from Apple in your Mac, where you can write a set of predefined script and then the particular operation will be carried out accordingly.

-> Now by default the assistive options will be in off mode and you can enable it if you feel that you want to use it in your Mac at anytime.

Yes you have heard right that turning on assistive devices option will lead to security
    risk.

Then main drawback is the unwanted running behavoiur of devcie apps.

So to prevent from the unwanted running behavoiur you need to enable the
    access of assistive devcie

    1. So go to the System Preferences panel >> Universal Access.

    2. After check the labelled ENABLE ACCESS FOR ASSISTIVE DEVICES.
