    Steps to add / remove shadow effects in Mac screenshots?

    I came to know that we can add or remove some kind of shadow effects in Mac when we take the screenshots. Is that true? If so can you please give me the steps which I need to follow for getting the shadow effects in the screenshot so that I can put up in the slides which will look good during presentation? Thanks.

    Yes Mac do gives you the option of adding Shadow effect into your screenshot which you take without any other use of third party application to edit the file. Just follow the below mentioned steps to attain it,

    STEP 1: Go to Applications folder -> Utilities.

    STEP 2: Now open the Terminal from there and make sure you are in the Administrator mode to change the settings.

    STEP 3: Type in the command as “defaults delete com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow” without quotes in the terminal -> Press Enter.

    STEP 4: Again type the command as “killall SystemUIServer” which will apply the changes which you made.

    STEP 5: Now try to take screenshot in your Mac (Command-Shift-3) and you will be getting the output image with shadow effect.

    Friend, for that you need to change the some settings in registry and
    it is done by below steps.

    :: Open the terminal window from it.


    :: Now here you type in the command “defaults delete com.apple.screen capture disable/enable-shadow”.


    :: And then press enter.


    :: Then allow the system to restart process.


    :: After restating the system, you can see that your effect is disable or enable.

    You can easily add or remove the shadow effects in mac screen shots in mac by following the below instructions.

    +++ Steps to follow to add/remove shadow effects in mac screen shots are :

    1. First of all turn on the mac system.

    2. After turn find and tap the utilities in applications folder.

    3. Here find and open the terminal and check you must in administrator mode.

    4. In given space enter the command """ defaults delete com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow """.

    5. After enter the command press the enter.

    6. Now it will ask to enter the another command """
    killall SystemUIServer """.

    7. After press enter this command you can take the mac screen shots.

    8. After taking it you will see the output image with showdow effects.That't it..

    first of all log in to the administrator account

    then go to the application folder

    then open the utility

    then open the terminal and type a command "default delete com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow"

    then hit the enter button

    then enter a new command "killall SystemUIServer" to save the changes

    press enter now its done

    Hello my dear Friend ...


    Follow the below steps carefully ...


    To ADD / REMOVE shadow effects you must first go to the TERMINAL ...

    TO REMOVE THE SHADOW EFFECTS ::

    You need to enter the following in the Terminal ... click Enter


    defaults write com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow -bool true
    You can apply your New settings ..

    killall SystemUIServer


    TO RESTORE THE SHADOW EFFECT ::


    Enter the following in the Terminal ... click ENTER

    defaults delete com.apple.screencapture disable-shadow

    You can apply your new settings using the command in terminal ...

    killall SystemUIServer


    That is it

    Hi..............,

    All my above friend told you manual way of creating the shadow effect.
    This is good and well appreciated.

    Now here i want to tell you how apps help in creating the shadow effect.
    Yes, you heard right , there are many apps which built a shadow effect of pics.
    So visit the apple store and then type shadow screen shot in search option.
    You will get related app , then study them.
    All have have some different task and issue , so study them before install.

    ** After install you can apply them in screen soon.
    ** Save your device from the virus attack every time.

    Hello Friend

    1.You will select the picture , auto shape, word art or text box you want to change.

    2.One the Drawing tool bar, click the shadow style, and do one of the following.

    3.Click the shadow style you want.

    4.Now click No shadow to remove a shadow.

    5.You have to remember a shadow to a text box, all text and attributes of the text box take the shadow effect.
