Steps to clean up temporary files in Mac?

My Mac is powered with the Snow Leopard OS and recently I am facing issue in the working as it is acting very slow for whatever I do and multi tasking has become hard. So I thought one of the reason behind this might be the temporary files which are in the cache. I know clearing in Windows but not in Mac. So can you please help me with the steps for it? Thanks.

    Dear Friend...

Clean up in Mac is almost same as in Windows OS.
You need to follow these steps:-

    1. First you go to your Apple start-up menu
    2. Find the search option there,
    3. Then type %temp% and press enter
    4. The folders containing temp file will open in Mac.
    5. Now select all the files and delete them,
    6. The files now move to trash which you also need to empty.

If you won't get this option, then download this software and remove temp files;-

    CCleaner for Mac
    http://download.piriform.com/mac/CCMacSetup105.dmg

It is 100 % safe, secure and compatible with Mac.
You can delete very heavy files in few minutes.

    Thank you..

    Hello Friend

Just go to the "Safari" menu up top and choose the "Empty Cache".

You can clear many other things, like cookies and history and recent searches.

By selecting "Reset safari" from that same menu.

And clearing the checkboxes for anything you don't want to erase .
