Steps to overcome the destination full issue in Mac iMovie application?

I am trying to import a movie in the iMovie application to edit but whenever I do that it just gives me the error saying “Destination disk is full”. Why? I have checked the disk space and there is enough space available.

Can you please tell me where it is going wrong? How can I fix this problem and make it work properly?

check the destination disk using the disk utility

    S.jpg

====>launch the disk utility located at applications /utilities....

=====>then select the destination drive from the device list in the disk utility...

====>select the first tab and click the verify disk option...

====>if you observe any error in the disk...

=====>select the destination disk from the device list in disk utility...

=====>select the first tab and click repair disk...

Then after a short period the volume is repaired.....

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..............

1.Though if have required space some times the mac will not allow you to copy files into it

2.The reason for it is your mac need a minimum free space to run.

    3. If you try to fill that minimum space also it will not allow you to fill as it need that space to run.

4.so you first remove the unwanted files in that drive.

5.later you will get more free space then you move that files into that drive.

    All the best.........

    Dear Friend..

    I got the solution.
Actually the destination folder where you edit the files like movies, etc, has been full now.
Rather then checking the disk space, you need to check the space of destination folder where you edit files and saved later.

You need clear the space of Destination disk with the help of Disk Utility Center.
This happens when you copy and paste files and folders many time and later on some of the blank space has been occupied by these.
Try to run disk fragmentation which arrange all the files and create some space as well.

    Thank you..
