Steps to run Mac Snow Leopard in Safe boot mode?

I want to know how should we boot your Mac in Safe boot mode in case of any issues? and how much time will it take to get finished from that type of boot? Will take more time or it will finish soon? Please give me all the information about this. Waiting for your valuable suggestions and quick reply. Thanks.

Here are your steps to start your MAC in safe boot mode:

    Firstly shut down your Mac.
    Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the start-up tone, press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard.(Don't press the key before you hear the start up tone.)
Now release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator.
Now your Mac should start in safeboot mode.
It just takes a little bit more time it gathers drivers and system files from system recovery.

To leave Safe Mode, restart the computer normally, without holding any keys.

    Dear Friend...

When we start our PC, there is a bootable screen appears for few seconds and from there.
We normally just press, either F10 or shift key.

The same process you have to follow here.
Just on the power button of your Mac and wait for few seconds,
From here, you also get a boot menu screen option/screen after a small beep sound.

Quickly press the SHIFT key and and hold for a while until, the boot menu opens.
When the boot menu opens, just left the Key.
Form there, it will hardly takes 10 minutes as per my experience.

When your task is finished, exit from the safe mode as the option is already there,
    Its done,

    Thank you..

    Hello Friend

You will Access the command line by either opening terminal remotely, or logging into the computer form another via SSH.

Execute the following command in Terminal or on the command line.

Suppose if you want start in verbose mode as well, use sudo nvram boot-args="-x -v" instead.

After using sage boot, to return to a normal setup.

Now execute this command in Terminal or the command line .

    sudo nvram boot-args=""
