Is it true that upgrading the Mac OS will slow down the whole system?

Right now I have Snow Leopard OS running in my Mac without any issues and now I am planning to go for the latest Mountain Lion OS but recently I heard from my friends that it will slow down the whole system. Is that true? What are the disadvantage will I face if I upgrade my Mac?

    Dear Friend..

I don't know how much true of your friends talk but as per my personal experience, it is not like that.
I am using Snow Leopard OS from last year and it never slow down my Mac.

So you just keep out from your mind that it slow down your device.
The only think you need to take as safety measures are:-

    1. Mac OS always made for Apple device, so always install any Mac OS in your Mac devices not others.
    2. c
    3. Always use the Mac designed software not of any other OS. If you do so, it will definitely slow down your Mac.
    4. Keep update your Mac OS time to time from the apple store.
    5. Always use, Mac compatible Anti-Virus after installation of any version of Mac OS.
    6. Last but not least, do not ever install the Mac OS from a pirated CD, always go for genuine and if your Mac gets slows down, then contact with your Apple Center.

    Thank you..

    Hi...............

    I got your problem.

1.No, by upgrading your present OS will not make your Mac slow.

2.But before upgrading you check that you have the minimum requirements to upgrade it.

    3.Then only you upgrade it.

4.If you do not have the problem with the configuration.

5.Then the problem may be the file which you have upgraded may be corrupted or some files may be deleted accidentally.

6.So you try to Backup your Mac this may solve your problem.

    Have a nice day..............

    No Dear...

    Not at all,
If you are installing the Mac OS in your device, then there is no issue in that.

But the things you need to keep in mind are:-

1, Install the Mac Mountain Lion OS always in your MacBook not any other device,
    2. The software you are gonna install after that must be compatible with Mac OS,
    3. Also use Mac supported Anti-Virus in your MacBook.

If you follow some of these tricks and tips, you will not face any problem ahead.
    Thank you..

Hey.. Nope , it is not true . Upgrading the Mac OS with the Apple Related OS doesn't slow down the system . As , Apple Os is the most Compatible one with your device than the any other OS . so , you can upgrade the OS with out any issues . Use Genuine Mac Compatible OS and also install a good quality antivirus program . you can enhance the previous speed as now after the upgradation . Thank you...

    Hello Friend ,

It is not true, that upgrading your mac os will slow down your whole system.

By upgrading your OS with the latest version of OS will help you rather to increase your system performance but does not slow down.

-----> By upgrading your OS regularly to the latest versions, you can use newer Apps .

The problem of slowing down of the system after installing or upgrading an OS occurs , if the OS you are trying to upgrade is not compatible with your system configuration.

So Upgrade your system with out any doughts.

    Thank You

By upgrading OS in Mac will slod down its speed, it is not true.

Company do not make new OS to slow down the speed.

It is the result of not installing OS properly in Mac so that it does not function well.

If you upgrade your Mac from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion properly woth original Apple instruments and from Apple Store then I am sure it will not slow down the process of your Mac.

So be confident and go for it.

Re: Is it true that upgrading the Mac OS will slow down the whole system?

    Hello Sir,

I think that this is not any fact that by upgrading the Mac Os the system become slow.
But one thing that you should have to check before upgrading is that all the files of Os must be virus free and this can be ensure by simply scanning with a good antivirus.

Also before upgrading process you should have to check that whether your system fulfill all the basic requirements of the upgrading process.
The basic requirements includes the disc space, random access memory(RAM),processor etc.

If you have followed all the above facts and still getting the problem with the speed of your system then my suggestion to you is that you should have to go to the service center for the solution.

    That's all.

    thank you.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say...................

1.No it is not at all right.

2.It is upto your system configuration and the OS files.

3.Firstly check that you have all the requirements what that upgrade need.

4.If you have them then you check that you are updating it from the correct CD.

5.If you are using internet and then then you can check only the compatibility.

6.If you are compatible you upgrade it and more over it will work some more faster.

    All the best...................................
