What should I do to fix the overheating problem in Mac?

Recently I am having a big problem with my Mac where it just turns off in an hour or so after playing the COD: World at War game. I also went to Apple store to get it fixed but after they have done something I am having the same issues. What should I do now? Can you please tell me the steps to follow for fixing this problem?

    Hello,Guest
Now a days overheating is a common problem in many laptops including MAC especially those having graphics cards.
    Thry these steps.

Keep your laptop on some height, have some ground clearance.
Dont block passage of the heat-sink or exhaust Fan.
use cooling pads underneath your macbook.
If you still have overheating issues then better to contact again to customer care of apple.

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem it is:-

Do not run multiple applications at a time. As it causes the overheat.
As you said the game COD grasps more energy and it makes all other
applications run slow so it is better to don't play such games.

And try to place you Mac on any wooden surface or glass surface
like table. But do not place it on bed or Woolen surface as it
causes more heat to produce in your Mac.

Try to make sure that the Exhaust fan was not covered by any substance.
Allow some air to pass through it.

I hope it will help you.

    All the best.......

    Hello ..................
    laptop-overheating.jpg
The main problem was when you are playing music in ITUNES it would increase 1-3 percent of your processor load but the processor draws ten times of it that is it will raise from 20 degrees to 50 degrees So better to avoid it.
Sometimes it may be due to bugs in your software and causes unnecssary load So,try to clear them.
Then you can control your fan speed by using SMCfan control .
The last one is use the MAC in cool room temperature that is in A.C cabins.
If not all the above steps are not helped you in solving the problem please consult nearest service center as they can fix any hardware malfunction.

    Thank you...............

    Hi,
Over heat is big problem for electronic device such as mac system ,normal desk top computer or iphone or ipad or normal phones.
You should follow some instructions to avoid the over heat problem with mac system. Here i given the tips to protect the mac from over heating issue.
Keep the heat cooling pads under the mac or if you have ac in your home then use mac in ac room or this over heat problem occurs due to mac battery life is decreased of it is damaged so to avoid over heat problem change the old battery to new battery.Operate only one operation at a time to avoid the over heat problem quickly. If you operate more operations at time the battery power consumption will increase so the heat also increase.
It is better if you will use the cooling pads under the mac system.

When you use your Mac laptop, you should not charge your Mac at that time and if you do the same, then its definitely gets heat-up.
The other precaution which you should follow that never cover your device with any lamination sheet and screen protector.
    This will also the reason.

    Thank you..
