What should I do if the remove Windows 7 option is shaded out in Mac?

I wanted to uninstall the Windows 7 OS from Mac but the problem is the “remove Windows 7” option is shaded out completely. What should I do to remove it now? Can you please give me the steps to follow for fixing this problem? Thanks.

    # suggestion is to back up your important data if needed before the removal of windows.

    # first of all restart your computer and see if it soves your problem .

    # go to the application in your system and then utilities .

    # run the disk utility and select the partition in which you installed the windows .

    # click erase and then ok to the pop up window.

    # it will start erasing windows from your mac .

    # then go to the partition where one would be the mac and other would be of windows ,remove the windows partition and your windows is installed.

    # or you could rerun the boot setup and remove windows from there.

Open the Disk Utility from application folder. When it opens, select the volume top from the left hand column. This is your main hard drive.
You should see "First Aid", "Erase", "Partition", "RAID", "Restore", select "Partition" in the right panel.
Click to the "Erase" button and it helps to remove Window 7 from your Mac.
