Why RAID utility not supported in my Macbook Air?

I have the latest Mountain Lion OS running in my Macbook Air and now I just wanted to use the RAID utility in my Macbook Air and when I try to do that it just doesn't work at all. What should be done for this issue? Just wanted to tweak some settings here.

Re: Why RAID utility not supported in my Macbook Air?

    boot into safe mode
hold shift after you hear startup sound and let go when you see loading bar
-if it does let you boot then its either something that preventing the boot or some corruption
-run disk utility if it will allow you

    boot into recovery mode
    cmd+R during boot
    1. try permissions repair in disk utility
    2. reinstall
